FANTASTIC - It really is too, really fantastic. I first got this book out of the library when updating a friends CV and have since borrowed it so many times that I now know I can t live without it! It s so full of wonderful inspiring and practical advice that even if you just put a little into practice while looking for that new job you are bound to succeed in a greater way than you even expected! Having recently made a career progression myself using the information in this book to help me I can vouch totally for its practicality and simplicity. I m not going to mention any of it because if you want to know, you should get the book! It s great!

Good, sound advice - There is a wealth of books that allege to help the layman in changing the direction in which their career is heading. After a couple of introductory paragraphs, they dive straight into theoretical gobbledegook. This does NOT apply to this book!Written from practical experience, it is far easier to comprehend even down to checking your personality type. The book encourages you take an honest and realistic look at your strengths AND weaknesses in deciding what you have to offer an employer and how to market yourself.I was relieved to find that I was doing some of the recommended things, but picked up some very useful pointers which on reflection just made good sense. These are all too easily missed when you are trying to deal with the situation on your own.In summary, it is well worth the price for the sound advice, poignant (somtimes amusing) anecdotes and real-life examples.Highly recommended.
